Our client planned to extend their B2C and B2B business models by adding a market place component. Their ambitious goal was to position themselves as the local alternative to Amazon.
To do so, they wanted to build a platform that would provide seller facing functionalities, have state-of-the-art buyer facing functionalities, be able to deal with up to 30m products and be fully responsive.
We consulted on technology strategy and jointly selected Mirakl and Oracle Commerce as the main components.
We integrated the Mirakl Solution with our customer's Oracle Commerce solution and invested time into performance optimisation and improving UX - especially for the search and filtering functionalities.
Our customer went live in less then seven months with their market place and is now on a steep extension curve. From starting with around 500,000 products, they were offering >2.5m products after just a few months.
